With the above sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You and the challenge over at Papertake Weekly being to include animals in your card, I have managed to combine both!
I have used a cream card for the base and used DCWV Animal CRackers paper and chipboard embellishments.
The challenge today over at 365 Cards is to only embellish the corners of the card. I have finished 2 corners, but I really need some assistance with a sentiment to finish the bottom right corner of this card, then I will add the final corner's embellishment to match the weight of the sentiment.
I was originally thinking of using a bird type greeting and really drew a blank. Even Simon couldn't help me today!
Then I was looking for a sentiment with "Two can/Toucan" in it and still nothing, so I really need your help with a witty sentiment that matches this lovely DCWV Animal Crackers Toucan/Puffin/Do-Do, so that I can finish my card!
Not!
I spent ages thinking about what I could do and having no coffee stamps or images, I thought I would do a coffe and cream colour theme, but no, no paper either!
So I decided to do the very British thing of tea, instead! The coffee inpired me for sure! So I hope it counts over at 365 cards?!
Inside it says: "It's all in how you make it!" I myself am a 2 sugar, milk in last kind of girl.
I was thinking of a certain posh lady when I was making this, (no, not the Queen!) and I think it is right up her alley!
I would have liked some patterned grey paper but I did the best with what I had, surely this has to be a reason to go craft shopping?!
UPDATE!
I couldn't leave it alone! So I dug out this paper from the DCWV All Dressed Up stack and added it, but because it is quite late there is rather a dodgy photo, I will update this tomorrow morning, I promise!
I have almost finished the sheet of DCWV Animal Crackers paper that I have been using, so this should be the last of this glittery goodness, for a couple of days at least!! I just can't help but use it, it seems whatever I do with it, it comes out looking bright and wonderful, even with my scrappy handwriting!
I fancy cut the jungle tree out of another sheet and wrote Cheeky using a Sharpie pen, the gems are from my stash and the rest is from the stack and chipboard set.

This was one of those great challenges over at 365 Cards where I knew instantly, what paper and kind of card I was going to make. I started this morning and then Simon was all in a faff about having ironed trousers and I had to wait until I got home just now to complete it!
On a side note, after much complaining from said boyfriend, I have now added a new photo to the side bar. This was taken on our last holiday to Spain and it is in an animal park called Mundomar.
Back to the card, I started with a red base and added card from the DCWV Rockstar stack at the bottom and mounted a guitar border on silver card. Before adding the border I included some black satin ribbon. Then I mounted white DCWV alphas onto black glossy card, mounted this on more silver card and added this at an angle. I finished this off with multicoloured peel-off notes (as per the specification) and a fancy cut silver guitar (not pink as in the photo) on 3D foam, also at an angle.
I was so excited to use my new DCWV Animal Crackers stack for the Mojo Monday challenge today. As well as my new stam set from Anita's stamps!
The challenge at Paper Take Weekly was to create a card based on the above sketch.
Of course I had to use my new Anita's Stamp set and I decided on this rather fluffy cat. I used Deja Views paper and buttons from my stash.
You know, now I have some really good stamps I am starting to like this stamping larky!
I am guessing most people will say, "what has that card got to do with that picture?". Well, I will tell you, when I first saw the photo I wa staken by the lusciousness of the flower, so I went in search of red floral epoxy stickers, which I don't have! So then I took another look at the photo and was marvelling at the tropicality of it, so I combined the two and took tropical juiciness as my inspiration!
So you can tell I struggled with this one!
I am playing catch up this week on 365 cards and I have been lucky enough to see lots of everybody elses fab creations before I have done mine. There were some really great pear ones, but I don't have any pear designs, so I went with citrus fruits!
The paper is DCWV and I cut the larger fruits out of a different page and glittered them, so that they look juicier! They are layered at 3 different heights using 3d foam and the sentiment inside says: You're the Zest!
So I was thinking about the 365 cards challenge card I had put together this morning, and I suddenly realised what I could do with a big juicy pair of lips if I did it all over again, so instead of sticking with my usual style I pulled out some black card and did something a bit different for me!
The letters are white glittered DCWV stickers, the paper is from the Rockstar Range, also DCWV and I freestyle cut the lips out of the matching white glittered matstack.
Yes, I know I should be catching up on the cards I have missed this week, but this challenge really was very fun!
Super Sketchy Sunday
I love sketches! Especially those over at 365 Cards!Although the flower looks 3d it is actually a flat holographic sticker with a polished gem in the centre.
I cheated a little here because I don't have a die-cutting system (yet!) so I used a rounded rectangle instead.........and lets pretend that I didn't swap around the swirls too, they're a great bunch over there, I'm sure they won't mind!
Wow I can't believe it has been 50 days, it has been really great fun and I have got to see so many fabulous creations from other crafty people out there in blogsville, so thank you!
Accordian Card
I am just about all caught up now on 365 Cards and today (or yesterday) the challenge was to create an accordian card.
I used a green base and added strips from a 12x12 DCWV paper, then split a sticker into 3 parts so that it would match up on the front. I added a DCWV matching chipboard to the first 'page' which overlapped to the second, with 2 flower gems added in the 'hidden' part of the card.
Finally I used 2 more strips from the paper to contain the card which slide on and off.
Score a pattern
The challenge of the day was to score a pattern on your card. I started by making diagonal lines with the plan on using the American Craft diagonal striped paper. However it just looked a bit samey, so I made it into cross hatching and added gem flowers (as if on a trellis). I then added floral paper and over laid the sentiment using double height 3D foam.
Pop-Up Card
I was expecting to be at this one for a while but it was suprisingly easy to make. I first cut 2 lines at right angles to the centre fold to create the structure for the pop-out section. I then covered this gap with DCWV paper on both sides of the card and added matching glittered stickers to the front. Plus I scalloped the edge using a round corner punch (told you I would be using that quite often now I know how to do it!)
On the inside I mounted the centre of a flower behind the petals using 3D foam. I added ribbon at the base to cover the back of the structure and then over this I laid the same paper as on the front of the card. Then I mounted the 2 layered flower on the structure which pops up when opened.
I think I will definitely be making more of these and when I have more time I would really like to try the style that Amy made, as it looks fab!
Yes, I found another great challenge site, this time it's called Cupcake Craft Challenges and the challenge of the week is to create a card with 2 or more folds.
Normally I would make this card for a wedding and co-ordinate the waistcoat with the groom's but I saw an ad for a new snooker game this afternoon and I thought if I put a crazy waistcoat and bow-tie with this it would be fab for a snooker fan!
That's it I quilt!
Today, as the title suggests, the card was to include a quilting design. I chose matching papers, cut them into 4x4cm squares and then rotated and mixed them up from their original pattern so that no side that matched would meet. I then mounted the matching striped paper on top of the corner squares and onto a chipboard button. This was finished with a pink satin bow.
I felt that the patterns were so vibrant that I would leave this on a blank white card, which I finished with a deckled edge using my trimmer. Which can also score, so should come in very useful in Scor-it week!
Then because I was so inspired, (I never would have done squares like this) I went on to create another! Not quite in the quilting style but in the same vein.
So the challenge today was to use a colour that you really dislike using, well for me it would have been black, so I had a root around in all my paper stack and, suprise, suprise, I don't actually have any black! So I went with brown (which I always think looks a little dull) and then I spiced it up with some vibrant stars, not dull anymore! 
The ad was a little more muted than this but the recent sunny days have put a spring in my step and summer colouring in my cards, so I make no excuses for this one, it does really make the same use of contrasting colours and the use of white on vibrant shades which is quite striking.
The D.I.Y. element here was the flower, I had bought a quilling kit a little while ago and had never gotten around to using it, so when this challenge popped up, it was great, not bad for a first try! Although I did wimp out of making a larger flower or a whole floral arrangement making this on a 5 x 8 cm mini card!
