So it is now the first day of a new month over at 365 Cards and I am glad to say that I am up to date with each and every challenge, and it has been great fun doing it! Today the them was water, I was thinking about this one all day at work because I have a lot of water themed papers (beach, light houses, rivers, swimming pools etc) for our holiday scrapbooks.
I nearly went for the light house scene but then at the last minute I remembered these little beauties. I have been saving them to complete an album with our last holiday to Spain when we went to a water park that was pirate themed. Plus they are the kind of papers that I really don't like using because they are so amazing to look at in your stash (yes, I know we all have some like that). So I took the plunge and sliced into a new sheet and boy am I happy with this. It's like the Seven Seas are calling to you, okay maybe I have watched Pirates of the Caribbean a few too many times!
Well it really has spurred me on, I've got a few days off next week and I think I will pull out that album and finally get it finished! Anyway back to the details, the papers are Sandy Lion (Teresa Frost Design) with matching 3D Pirate Ship embellishment and flat stickers with the lowest one raised on sticky pads to match the dimension of the head of the fleet. The message inside reads: "Roll out the rum for this land lubber! Happy Birthday Matey!" (which was all me, and not part of the Sandy Lion kit)

Thanks Fi, I almost forgot to add that the wavey edge was supposed to look like a prevailing wind, not sure if it's all that obvious now....
