Missing my sleep!

So I was up at the crack of dawn today to the sound of the kittens doing the derby up and down the corridor! Now they have a collar with a bell it really is a bit of a racket when they are in full pelt! On the plus side I managed to get todays 365 Cards challenge done before heading off to work!

I started with a sheet from a DCWV matstack which I layered with silver card. I then selected a matt silver card to add 3 heart peel-offs with frames onto. Next I put another 3 hearts onto silver mirror card and cut around them leaving a border. These were then raised on the original hearts with 3D foam. I then added silver ribbon (the last that I have left!) with the sentiment: Miss You, with a heart button to the right

Although, because it is so early the light is a little bit funky in the photo! When I get home tonight I will get a better shot!

Just so you can see the terrible twosome, I have added pics of Tango and Pumpkin, on the right. They are now around 10 months old and will soon be too big to be called kittens!

  3. Great card Bex, love your peel-offs they really make the hearts stand out. I am usually up at about 4am each morning, which is good because I can get a bit of work done before DD wakes up.

  5. Woohoo, somebody else who likes peel offs.

    Love you card, very classy.

Like the piccies of the kittens, you may need to take their bells off to get some more sleep though :)

  6. I only wish I had enough stamps (and ability)to be able to create the effect with embossing, so it is peel-offs for me!

  7. Hi Bex,
Yes indeed a lovely card. Kittens did I hear someone say kittens. I love animals, I have a little dog that thinks he is a human and sleeps with us under the bedcovers and two cats, both girls that think they are goddesses the way they lounge around the place. Would not be without animals in my life.

  13. This card is so elegant and all the silver is just beautiful. I love it great job with this challenge.

Your kittens are goreous and look like little angels in this picture. Lately our dog Tigger who is a little over 2 years old has gotten in the habit of having to go potty at 2:oo AM....grrrrrrrrrrr. The other day my DH looked at Tigger and said your cute buddy but your not that cute...he he. I really need to figure out a way to make him do his business when we let him out before we go to bed. He may be a bit of a pain right now but I don't know what we would do without him. I am sure you must feel this way about your two little cuties.

Have a great day and I hope you can catch a nap later today. :-)

  19. I love the card, that is sweet with the hearts but you could (IMHO) use that for a male or female you were missing.

Also, you have calicos - I love calico cats. My Emma is one, and the late great Amelia was my first (she lived to a crotchety 21 years). They are adorable looking.

I saw that you gave me an award - that is so sweet of you!
